Samsung SDS is to release its home-grown blockchain accelerator technology at annualized technology conference IBM Think 2019 to be held on Feb. 14 in San Francisco, U.S.
Samsung had developed IBM’s Hyperledger Fabric-compatible Nextledger Accelerator on its own to speed up transactions and has tested it since December 2018 to find out how speedily it can process transactions. The results prove to be a success, staying within its benchmark target.
Hyperledger Fabric is a sort of Linux open source-based enterprise blockchain project aimed at developing many use cases across a wide range of industries.
Led by IBM, the project is supervised and managed by Linux Foundation.
To give third party developers an easy and transparent access to the accelerator technology, Samsung SDS plans to offer a whitepaper on its technology roadmap as well as a test tool on github, an open and free talk community site for third party developers.
Samsung SDS said that it has agreed with IBM to cooperate to facilitate the adoption of Hyperledger Fabric and expand its ecosystem.
Under the partnership, the Korean SI, or system integrator giant plans to join IBM Blockchain Board.
